An ALA Quick Pick for Reluctant Young ReadersIn Regeneration, five teens found out that they had been cloned in an experiment deemed unsuccessful by its mastermind, who is still seeking to destroy them. Ever since Eric learned the truth about his past, he's been trying to keep a low profile. But now two strangers have come to town looking to interview his family about adoption -- and something about them just isn't right.
This book mainly starts out when a fifteen-year-old boy named Eric finds out that his family is being visited by a mysterious couple claiming to be from a popular television show on adoption. Regeneration will grab you, and it is very promising. Readers should choose this book. The writer is extremely an expert, and I really enjoyed reading The Search.
Wow! Oh, WOW!

I just finished reading REGENERATION #2, THE SEARCH, and all I can say is, "WOW! L.J. Singleton did it again!" What a FABULOUS story this was. From a kidnapping to a mysterious coffin on a roof-top, from loyalty and friendship, to intrigue, deceit and physical danger, this book kept me spellbound all the way through it. It's definitely a MUST read for all ages. One word of warning, however... even though this book would stand alone and be great without reading the first book of the series, I would HIGHLY recommend reading book number one, REGENERATION, first, because then your enjoyment of the second book will be even greater. This is a WONDERFUL series for kids as young as ten all the way through adults. GREAT BOOKS!
The Search Really Pulls You In

Sometimes sequels to a book can be disappointing. That is not the case with this book. The storyline of the five cloned teenagers introduced in Regeneration is expanded in this book. The author, L.J. Singleton, has well-developed characters, with specific information about their personal lives and medical wonders unfolding at a suspenseful, wild pace.Besides fleeing from danger, the teen clones use the World Wide Web and other cool current technology to solve the mystery. Just when one mysterious event seems solved, another pops up to keep your interest.I mean no disrespect when I say "this ain't no Nancy Drew". I only mean that it is fresh, current, new and different than anything I have ever read before. This series has the possibility for growth and may become the next long-running fiction hit with fans.
The Search: Regeneration #2

"The Search" continues with the exciting adventures of 5 teenage clones trying to escape from the evil scientist who created them and now wants to destroy them. This is Eric's book. In book #1 Eric chose not to join the other clones feeling that he was safe with his family in Texas. However, he learns that not only is he not safe, but neither is his family when Dr. Victor and his wife kidnap Eric's sister thinking that she is one of the clones. All of the clones have some extraordinary power that helps them escape sticky situations. This book has adventure galore and is complete in itself but much more enjoyable when read after book #1, titled "Regeneration". This series is a real winner!
