A magnificent book

This is a magnificent book on a subject rarely addressed: the theological and spiritual significance of Christ in the womb of Mary. Does this sound obscure and boring? That's what you'd think -- but it isn't! I couldn't put the book down! And you will be amazed at the amount of thought and writing -- throughout church history -- on this subject. Also, Saward is an excellent writer and there is a spiritual and devotional tone to the book. There is also an ethical dimension -- the significance of Christ in the womb for the dignity of human life and the sanctity of the human person from the moment of conception. The main thing to be gained from the book, in my experience, is a heightened undertsanding of the miracle of the incarnation and the relationship between Christ and his Mother in utero!
