Thoughtfully crafted - a book club hit

Red School and its characters invite you to explore the moral gray area between right and wrong. I'm excited to share Red School with my friends to hear their perspectives about whether the plot opens up the door to a world of heroes or trained assassins. This is definitely a page turner, and it will be a great selection for book club. I can't wait to read the next novel in this series!

Total page turner!

Red School is a great read, full of vivid descriptions and richly-drawn characters. While a book about assassins is bound to explore certain obvious moral gray areas, Holt goes the extra mile to humanize each of his characters, yet he leaves just enough ambiguity to keep you in suspense. It is clear he did his research, and every aspect of the story is well-thought out. Full of twists and turns, I found it very difficult to put it down. While it is full of vivid description, this is by no means a "slow" novel. It still manages to move at a breakneck pace and totally sucks you in. I read it in two nights, and can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Red School is a warm, intriguing take on the secracy and possibilities of Government opperations that are beyond reality... Or so we think. Mr. Holt has managed to bring a world of espionage and childhood remeniscience together in the beginnings of a spellbinding account that has captured my heart, my mind and my anticipation. I wait on the edge of my seat for the continued publication of this series and other works from this charismatic, talented author.

Though not my usual genre, I found myself highly addicted to this book! The author does a great job of keeping the intense pace moving while still devoting time to character development, creating the perfect balance of interesting plot lines involving characters you care about. The action scenes are kept intriguing yet fun, without allowing the book to become bogged down in international politics but still creating exciting and relevant scenarios. A pleasant surprise from a new author!

Great fun and it makes you think!

Loved it! I've already read it twice. Feels like a Bourne Supremacy-type story, but in a world I never would have imagined. Great story, intriguing characters I really cared about, surprising twists and turns, and through it all I'm wondering: are these child assassins heroes? or villains? or maybe just victims? It really gets you thinking. I'd HIGHLY recommend this book!
