Essential

If you have any appreciation whatsoever for morbid humor, buy this man's books immediately. There's really nothing else to it.

Red Meat

This is easily the most hilarious collection of comics I have ever read. It's almost like The Far Side with an added dash of sick morbidity. And everyone needs a good dash of sick morbidity.

Gut-splitting sick, perverse, WONDERFUL humor!

I was already familiar with Red Meat through another Web-site, but had never found a collection in book form until recently. I have not laughed this hard since the first time that I read Dave Barry's Bad Habits. My copy actually has tear-stains in it from my uncontrollable laughter. It's David Lynch on gallons of cough syrup and loads of booze, and brilliantly--if pathologically--hilarious. And after you read this book, stare blankly into space and ask out loud, "Is it still there?"

Unbelievable

This is by far one of the funniest compilations of cartoons ever printed. The humor is so dark and hysterical. I have not laughed as hard as I have laughed at this book in a LONG time. The content is sometimes sick, sometimes twisted but always hilarious. I cannot get enough. I loved it through every page. Not only is the actual cartoon funny but the titles of each one lend a hand to the razor sharp wit of the strip. This is definitely a must buy, skip Gary Larson and buy this book.

I've never laughed so hard at a comic strip

When I first saw Bug-eyed Earl staring at me from the cover I had to check out what Red Meat was all about. I've never laughed so hard at the printed word in my life. It's often dark and subversive stuff and it's endlessly clever. I'm now addicted to Red Meat.
