A family of foxes is thrown out of their den by an invading bulldozer. This short tale follows the fox family as they frantically search for a new home. In their search they come upon other animals who also live in dens, tree trunks, and holes. Eventually, the foxes make their way to a boat and are unexpectedly ferried to the city where they find a lovely home in "a beautiful wild park." Hannah Giffard's illustrations add great beauty to this little tale. One discussion which may ensue from this story is the theme of urban development and its consequences to nature around us. Nonetheless, we do leave a very relieved and happy fox family at peace in thier unexpected new home.
