Having concerns about some of the activities and positions of the United Methodist Church and the Women's Division, our search for information and support led us to the Renew Network and Good News. Faye Short took the time to respond to our questions, send us materials and encourage us. This book is a must read for anyone concerned about liberal theology, political involvement, and an over emphasis on a social message and sanctification (to the exclusion of personal witness and justification) in the Methodist Church. This book is very thorough and is based on sound theology and historical documentation. If you care about your Church, and expect the UMC to offer more to the world than Oprah; you will not want to put this book down once you start reading it!
