Cathanie Vinefsky is nine years old with a head full of happy ending fairytales and a heart intent on becoming a teaching Sister when she grows up. She finds solace in her Catholic faith which teaches her that God is her Father and loves her. Her own dad walked out on her and her siblings three years ago, before her baby brother was born. Betrayed by the man she loved and trusted to care for her, her mother is embittered and trusts no one, not even her children.
Reasons and Seasons is a story of God's love, "the pearl of great price for which one sells all he has" (Matthew 13:45-46). It is God's love, given to each of His children to be shared, that shines through the ordinariness and conflicts of everyday human life. It is a testament to the belief that life is shaped not by coincidence, but by Providence.
