Loved it!

I must say I loved this book. I read it over and over and got so many wonderful ideas on how to make learning fun at home. We were really on a budget when I purchased this book and I was so happy that there were so many recommendations on supplies around your house! I feel that my kids are more studious for establishing a strong foundation at home with me! Now that they are older this book is still paying off as my kids enjoy school. Homework time is not difficult as we have been doing it together for so long and have established a good working relationship. Good luck moms stick to it and it will really help in the long run. Now that my children our older I can see how much working with them at home has paid off.

A Great Parent's Guide

I first found this book in our public library, and I had to buy it. I have been homeschooling my 5 year old for almost a semester, but struggling through math and reading studies with him. He is gifted in some areas and a perfectionist overall. If he feels he cannot achieve his goal sometimes he will not try. This book gave me a simple plan and helped me to work on some of my own skills as his "teacher". Her plan is easy and her goals attainable.

Phonics for the Preschool Crowd

When my three-year-old was begging to learn to read, this book was a godsend. (Most teaching materials are, understandably, for children 5+.) The author uses games and activites to teach phonics. Simply having someone tell me a good order in which to introduce each sound and suggest a way to have fun with them was all I needed. For me and my son, this book was a perfect fit.

highly recomended

This book is GREAT, it is easy to read and easy to follow activities and instructions. It helps you teach even very young children through play. All the supplies are in your house or very cheap. I would definitely recommend it

Excellent choice for parents who want to help their children

This is a wonderful resource for parents who want to help their kids get an early start on the basic fundamentals. It encourages children to learn through play so they can master these skills without pressure. The book emphasizes the importance of showing love to our children to help them grow mentally. All the assignments can be done with very little money involved for the whole curriculum; most are materials already found in the home. The activities are simple enough for young preschoolers and are fun for both parents and children.
