Picture Book based on the movie Ratatouille

This is a picture book based on the movie Ratatouille. It is much better than most kids' movie books and would be enjoyable without the Ratatouille connection. Rats in the kitchen cook and cook using French cooking techniques and French food. It is quite well written in a fun rhyme with beautiful illustrations. I enjoy it and I think my students will too. The colors are bright and the illustrations are joyful as we learn how to cook French food, made more familiar by the recent cinematic hit.

Very Kid Friendly

We checked this book out from the Library after being introduced to it during storytime. My 2 1/2 year old loves it. He askes me to read it at least twice a day. It teaches counting forward to 8 and backward from 8-1.. It also teaches some simple French cooking turns, it rhymes, it has a glossery at the end that explains the cooking terms (which my son also likes to hear). It is just a great book, my 9 month old daughter likes to listen too it as well. As with any book, I recommend you try and find it from your local library and read to your children and see if they like it, if they do it would make a great birthday, rainy day or just special day award.

Great book

This was a gift for my nephew who happens to like cooking a lot, he loved it, me too, even his parents, I was triying to give a book that didn't needed help from adults for every step, otherwise, their mom would have gone crazy, and this is great, has tasty, fun and simple recipes, plus it has these cute amazing characters in every page; it also has pictures acompanying all the recipes. It's a wonderful choice, I really recomend it.

I am thrilled

So many of the Disney animated movies have top notch illustrative work within the movies, but when books are made from those movies the art work is not as good. This is a major exception. Every page is a masterpiece. Many Ratatouille books have come out in the past couple of weeks and I haven't noticed any yet in which the illustration is indifferent, but this one is the best.

Artistic Cuisine

Delightful! Too Many Cooks is truly a work of art -- & so unique. It is suitable for little ones who don't know their numerls yet [but are learning to count fingers toes & gourmand rats] & for cooks who need a refresher on recipe terminology. The Menu, at the end of the book, is a mini guide to French cooking. The beautifully illustrated inside covers bracket a tour of Paris -- from sun up to moon rise. A renound city of art, gourmets, & gourmands the happy rats of Ratatouille proove that French Cuisine is indeed for Artist. B. Joan Wragg PS I am not the least biased because the artist is my grandson.
