An Excellent Hallmark for Islamic Kids' Fiction

RASHID AND THE HAUPMANN DIAMOND is perhaps the best of its kind: a book that illustrates the way Muslims live (especially Muslim kids, who are the audience for this book) while telling a good story. Rashid and his friends get mixed up in a mystery involving their elderly neighbor's father, rumored to have been shot down in WW2 with an incomparable diamond in his grasp. Will they uncover the truth? Can they, without being caught by faceless foes who seem to be surrounding them at every side - while keeping in touch with Rashid's religious beliefs? Great story. Great book. See companion novel RASHID AND THE MISSING BODY for more of Rashid's adventures with his friends; I wish there were more in the series.
