When I read this book while I was in my early teens, I thought it was pretty good. Lindsay, the main character, is struggling to fit in as one of a small number of girls who now attend a school that had previously been for boys only. The trouble is that a number of the boys, especially one named Chas, don't want the girls to be there. Lindsay is also worried about living up to her family's expectation because they're all high achievers. At first, Lindsay tries to outdo Chas, but after one of her stunts goes wrong, she begins to think that maybe she should simply try to maintain a low profile and blend in. There are a lot of feminist themes in the book, but the book is mainly about learning to be yourself, even when others are critical of you.
