A highly illustrated one-volume encyclopedia containing 450 main entries ranging from Aboriginal Australians to Zoos. This description may be from another edition of this product.
It IS beautifully illustrated, written at a level they can understand, and full of information. Unfortunately, they included a section on reproduction that thoroughly embarrassed my 13 year old son. The text isn't bad, but the pictures are graphic and contain unnecessary detail. I simply ripped out those pages (his request). The choice of pictures in other places as well is sometimes inappropriate for a children's book. Recommended, but read it first and sticker over or remove the 1% of the book that isn't good.
