Book Overview

Dopants and Defects in Semiconductors covers the theory, experimentation, and identification of impurities, dopants, and intrinsic defects in semiconductors. The book fills a crucial gap between solid-state physics and more specialized course texts. The authors first present introductory concepts, including basic semiconductor theory, defect classifications, crystal growth, and doping. They then explain electrical, vibrational, optical, and thermal...

I can't believe he wrote this

I thought I was going to read a book about positivity. I just got this book and was paging through it. In one of his last chapters- Discipline- A Key to a Positive Kid's Greatness, he goes on to write about how you should spank your kid- in detail. Not only do I disagree but I am offended. He then writes not to go too far, because you could be abusive. This person should not have written a children's book. I have read a bunch of children's books and none have said to spank their kid. I totally disagree and have lost respect for this author. In fact if I knew he wrote that I would not have bought it. I am shocked that there are 5 reviews each with 5 stars. It is disappointing. I'm sure there will be a handful of other inappropriate ideas he leads others to. I probably won't be reading them all.

Every Parent Should Read This!

Ziglar relates time-tested, practical, common sense parenting advice in a way only he can. Every parent should read this book and then share it with every other parent they know. It's even more fun to listen to in audio format! I've listened to hundreds of hours of Ziglar teachings, and I still learn from him every time.Rick Allison, Founder & Presidenthttp://www.ChristianMommies.comhttp://www.ChristianDaddies.comTogether, we can!

How much bad things are your little ones going to copy?

NONE...if you read this book. I have been in three (3) conventions where Zig is one of the main speakers and, believe me, he knows how to steal the show. The "profound statements" that Zig uses to garnish his speeches are as deep as the speech itself. I have 4 books of Zig Ziglar and 3 tape program of about 6 to 12 tapes each. Are you in doubt yet? Let me put it in this way...When God calls Zig to His side it will be a loss for the ones on Earth comparable to Mother Theresa...and you don't have to be Catholic to acknowledge the impact of that moment. I am not Catholic, but it was not her religion, but the person and her believes.Zig is one of those persons; humble yet powerful. Now, how much are your kids worth? What kind of knowledge do you want your kids to grasp, Columbine kind of kid's or God-gifted Zig?

Every parent should read this

Zig Ziglar is a truly remarkable person. In this book he takes a detour from his usual business topics and talks about raising children. He presents his "old school" ideas which might seem a bit too conservative to some "modern" parents. Especially if talking about faith in God or pre-marriage sex. But it is his firm belief in traditional values that makes this book convincing. Ziglar also does not pretend that he, as a father, was doing everything right. He lets his children speak at the end of the book and they have some critical remarks indeed. I really recommend this book to everyone who wants to become a better parent and I also recommend to combine it with another book by Zig Ziglar, his bestseller See You At The Top.

Every Parent Should Read This Book!

I read this book when I was going-through a divorce. The tips and techniques, along with Zig's philosophies, have helped me raise two wonderful, happy, children. Thank You, Zig!

A Must Read for every Zig Fan turned parent

I ran across this book in the Library and started reading it just because it was a a Zig Ziglar. Having completed the book I am looking to purchase a copy for MY library. Usefull from page 1 the Epilogue on page 245 is the reassurance that we should not lament over the past but focus on the future. This book is chock full of practical immediately applicable insights.
