taking a course and needed the book

It is a very good book as far as having to take a class goes. It is very detailed in the body systems and it was worth the price for both the book and the study guide.

if you gotta learn, this book has it all

This is one of the better A/P textbooks I have used over the years. The book is sequenced well, making it easy to go from one system to the next. It is well indexed. The workbook compliments the textbook. The author knows her material.

Excellent for A and P students

I found this book to be well-written and to the point for every topic in anatomy and physiology. It was totally complete, showing the structure and function of every system in the body. Great for self-study

The book is organized by organ system, and each chapter is full of well explained illustration. To use the book, not much knowledge of chemistry is needed (just a bit of acid/base chem, freshman year) and elementary cell biology. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants an elementary, easy to follow introduction to anatomy and physiology for self-study.
