Between January and May 2017 the cruise ship MV Magellan made its Maiden World Cruise travelling 33,000 sea miles and visiting 30 ports. Among the passengers was Rosemary Allix and she kept a blog about all the places she visited around the world and her observations on life both ashore and on board. An important part of the whole four month experience was the opportunity to create a quilt under the instruction of quilting tutor Jan Alliston. Jan had already designed and made a sample quilt of 25 squares, each representing one of the places visited, and week by week she taught the eager quilting group how to make their own version. They learnt a variety of quilting skills and spent long hours at sea stitching their masterpieces. This book is a collection of Rosemary's blog posts interspersed with snippets from the making of the quilt. Also included are colour photographs and original poetry
