Great Book!

I found the Quick Start Spanish book to be a very helpful resource before, during and after taking Spanish courses. It has a way of giving hints and reminders that stick with you to help you remember important spanish speaking rules. Arlene Jullie uses fresh, innovative ideas incorporated into the learning of Spanish! El español es muy divertido!

Highly Recommended

After slowly plugging away with my attempt to learn Spanish and collecting multiple Spanish learner books, I've found one that is refreshingly fun and playful. I can remember rules better with songs and games rather than straight, boring drills. I teach ESL classes to adults and I have learned to incorporate the value of 'fun' in my teaching since I've read this book. Thank you Quick Start.

Amazing overview of Spanish!

Quick Start Spanish is one of the best tools I've found for effective language learning (and I've been teaching Spanish for 30 years!). It is well organized, accurate, light, funny, and a delight to use. At Expanded Learning we use Quick Start with all our beginning students. Here is a comment from a typical student: "I loved the book! It made learning exciting and non-threatening. Since I was able to see the whole picture right away, I had the confidence to jump in, start speaking, and also the motivation to continue learning. Muchas gracias!" In addition to taking the mystique out of learning Spanish, we've found Quick Start to be effective as a preparation to studying, as a review, and as a handy reference. As a bonus, it offers tips for effective learning in general, very helpful to all learners and students.

Excellent Primer for Grammer, etc.

This book was great as a review/primer for understanding the structure of Spanish. I love the games and the little tricks for remembering the rules (Me too, Sue, etc.). They really help. And I think it does a great job going from simple at the beginning to more advanced as you progress through the book. And it also ties things back to what you have already learned in earlier chapters. It is clear, well written and I just wish I had the whole book memorized so my Spanish would be better!

"Quick-Start" is a great start!

I found Quick Start Spanish to be a great help to me in getting a handle on how the Spanish language 'thinks'. As I am speaking spanish these days, there are always 'tips' and 'hooks' and other reminders from "Quick-Start Spanish" that continue to come back assisting me in using the proper sentence structure and verb tenses. I found this book to be one of a kind in laying out complicated stuff in fun, easy, user-friendly games and activities. If you're thinking of starting (or returning) to learn Spanish, you can struggle through the beginning (and maybe give up) or you can "Quick-Start" and enjoy the process. Personally, I was much less intimidated and overwhelmed by the whole thing after using this well-organized and fun-to-use book. I have personally recommended it, and even bought copies for my friends! Thanks Ms. Jullie, you make learning a new language fun! :o)
