Questions begins with my childhood of being raised on the Southside of Chicago by a Jehovah Witness grandmother after my father went to prison and my cutie pie mother was too busy for children. My grandmother was as worthy of heaven as anyone I knew, yet the preacher claimed she was not one of the anointed. This didn't make a lot of sense to me, and even more perplexing was why I was silenced when I asked questions. So I started seeking my own answers and questions. Throughout my life people had low expectations for me. From my grade school teacher who told me I would wind up being a maid to the social service agent who rolled her eyes when I said I wanted to be a lawyer Fortunately, I also had mentors who did believe in me and a belief in myself to prove them wrong. And eventually, I learned that it was all right to ask them and God for help. I finished school as a teenage mom, became a reporter, moved out west where I helped restore and rejuvenate the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma, earned a Master's Degree, became a Dean, and enrolled in A Ph.D. program. After suffering a stroke at the age of 65, I realized I was often the one who got in my own way listening to negative inner thoughts and beliefs, but I was also the one who challenged and molded my future by listening to my intuitive spiritual voice rather than my ego's constant reminders of limitations. These confrontations, over the years, gave me wisdom to differentiate between short-term gratification and long-term benefit. I've learned and continue to learn how to trust my intuitive fountain of wisdom recognized at age eight. I am a teacher and designed this book to help others strengthen their sense of self to ease them during periods of decision making and reduce unwanted chaos and calamity.Questions is not just about telling a personal story about how the journey rescued me from the clutches of ultimate despair.
