Quest for Courage

After being crippled for life, Lame Bear is left behind when the men and boys of the Blackfeet tribe go to hunt. After going on a vision quest, he sets off to capture an elusive prized medicine hat stallion. Although Quest for Courage has a predictable ending, I was surprised in some places. I enjoyed this book, and read it over, and over, and over, and over...Quest for Courage also has several nice illistrations by Paulette Livers Lambert.
