Great tool for teaching and writing tall tales

I'm a third grade teacher and I've been reading Steven Kellogg's tall tales to my class throughout the school year. My class absolutely loves his books and recently I read "I Was Born About 10,000 Years Ago" as a way to get my kids to write their own tall tales. My children and I thoroughly enjoyed the whimsical adventure through time that this beautifully illustrated book took them on. Steven Kellogg does a marvelous job of retelling this tall tale by using rhyming text.
