Question of happily everafter

To find out the answer to this question for Lizzie you will have to read the book, and I dont think fans will be disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it great bedtime reading. I especially enjoyed the wedding history tids bits at the beginning of each chapter. Lizzie is still working very hard for the Henri's at restoring wedding gowns, and business at the shop is booming. She has her much wanted proposal from Luke, so it seems that everything is coming together for Lizzie. But for Lizzie things could not be so simple. She is having feelings for Chas (Shari's ex boyfriend and Luke's best friend)after a late night makeout session, so what will Lizzie do? Marry the prince of her dreams or have a change of heart? Read it to find out! I have to make a comment on Meg Cabot's writing style. She really has a great way of hooking the reader in to the story. I feel that any story could be mediocre, but she could make it in to something fantastic. I have to give her total credit on this. Wonderful writing makes for a pleasant reading experience.

Babble On!

The third installment in the Queen of Babble series opens where the second left off: Lizzie has just been proposed to by Luke, her princely boyfriend, while Chaz, one of her best friends, lies in her bed upstairs. Quickly deciding she wants to be married, Lizzie kicks poor Chaz out and embarks on the wedding of her dreams. Or does she? Why on earth would a happy bride-to-be break out in hives every time she thinks of planning her wedding? And why would Luke, so recently re-enrolled in college to become a doctor, take off for three months in Paris so he can revive his investment career? Lots of fun characters are found in this book: Tiffany and Monique return, as does Shari, Gran, and the Henris, owners of the bridal restoration shop where Lizzie lives and works. Introduced as well is Ava Geck, socialite and heiress, who befriends Lizzie while Lizzie works on her bridal gown. While it seems pretty clear from the beginning with whom Lizzie belongs, it is a fun ride as we watch her struggle with her feelings and actually mature into the smart businesswoman we all know she is. There are some heavier themes found in this novel as well, and Lizzie has to find her way by relying on her own intuitions. Don't be mistaken; this is light, fun, chick lit, and if you are looking for something deep and meaningful, you won't find it here. But if you enjoy a funny, sometimes poignant tale to fill your summer days, you can't do better than this. Meg Cabot's captured the lightheartedness of Lizzie and her friends perfectly and you'll find yourself captured as well as you get to the satisfying conclusion.

Great wrap-up, but still thirsty for more!

When I read the first QoB novel, I was a little leery of the fact that Ms. Cabot was planning more in this series. Initially, I found the ranting of our heroine, Lizzie Nichols, to be a little over-the-top and slightly tiresome after several pages. However, by this novel I feel that Lizzie has hit her stride and I am now completely in love with her. I love the plot twists (though, we should really admit to ourselves that "twist" is a bit of a stretch whenver considering the outcome here...) and shenanigans of all the characters in this series who are now like family to me. I think that this third installment is a fine wrap-up, but I have to admit - If there were a petition lobbying for more Queen of Babble, I'd sign it in a heart beat!

This is one wedding you won't want to miss

As the third romp of Meg Cabot's Queen of Babble series begins, Lizzie Nichols's life is on the upswing (well, except for the little detail of the person she just spent the night with). Thanks to her big but friendly mouth, the wedding shop she works in is suddenly a tremendous success. Then, of course, there's her recent acceptance of a fabulous engagement ring from her prince (he literally is a prince), handsome Luke. She is going to get married and is simply thrilled about finally being a bride herself, after working on the wedding gowns of so many other brides. But back to the man she has spent the night with. It's Chaz, who happens to be not only her best friend's ex but also her fiancé's best friend. In fact, even as Lizzie accepted Luke's ring, the tuxedo-clad, champagne-sodden Chaz snored in her bed. Oops! However, Lizzie is pleased to note that, although there may have been a bit of indiscreet fondling the night before, she is still wearing her Spanx. Chaz is bewildered when Lizzie urges him to depart quickly before Luke returns. He keeps referring to "us," even as Lizzie replies that there is no "us" in spite of the obvious case of Chaz-induced beard burn inflaming Lizzie's face. Lizzie feels terrible about her drunken carousing and is determined to recommit to Luke. However, every time Lizzie contemplates her upcoming wedding, she feels a wee bit queasy instead of anticipatory. She is sure that her wedding nausea stems from all the excitement and/or the Chaz guilt. After all, Luke is her dream husband. He not only has the royal title and the looks, but he is dedicated to helping people in his future career as a doctor. Lizzie is slightly distracted by her new client, gum-chewing celebrity heiress Ava Geck. Ava is engaged to be married to a Greek prince and insists that Lizzie must make her wedding gown for her. Lizzie reluctantly agrees but is also determined to turn Ava (who is frequently photographed without underpants and commonly referred to as a "skanky crack whore") into a decent, underwear-wearing young woman. Meanwhile, Lizzie is shocked to learn that her boss, Jean Henri, is in the hospital after suffering a heart attack. Both Monsieur and Madame Henri will be unable to work in the shop for an indefinite period --- even as the demand for their shop's services increases. Will Lizzie be able to hold down the fort? Lizzie's life nosedives in other ways as well. Her new fiancé seems less interested in pursuing medical school and more interested in working overseas. Lizzie cannot move to France to be with Luke while he works for his uncle. At least it's a temporary job, right? Then there's the confusion she experiences every time she runs into Chaz and his new perfect girlfriend. There's also an unfortunate episode with paparazzi, traceable to Lizzie's admittedly big mouth, which causes her to lose a valued friend. When tragedy strikes, at home and at work, Lizzie makes some difficult choices. QUEEN OF BABBLE GETS HITCHED is

Could NOT put this book down!

This was the best out of the three, IMO. I absolutely loved it!! I laughed out loud quite a bit (you gotta love Gran!). I know Meg Cabot said this was going to be the final book in the QOB series, but I hope she reconsiders!! I don't want to give anything away, but I really want to know what happens with the other guy!! Maybe she could do another book from his POV? In any case, do not hesitate to get this book! It's very much worth it!
