Writing about historical events can teach us not to make the same mistakes again and that's also my intent. In this book I make no claim to originality; it has been more a matter of compilation, somewhat like a hunter gatherer of early aviation information. This book is intended to be more of a tribute to those ingenious, fearless flyers who prepared the world for the future of aviation.
