Amethyst is the older daughter and second born to David and Swayla Sejr. Her father changed his last name when he was just 18 years old. As an artist he prided himself on being unique and that he was. He changed his last name from Victor to Sejr (pronounced Sy A), a Danish word that means victory and triumph. She loved her father and the story behind the name change.
But, what Amethyst didn't expect was the sudden change that was to come to her family. She saw it before it happened but chalked it up to paranoia. When it all went down it broke her and she had resolved that she would never have joy again. She didn't even want to design clothes anymore because every look seemed to be coming out dark as ever.
She still had her siblings and her mom but it wasn't until she met NyHeem that she would see even a glimpse of hope again. He made her see things through a different set of eyes and awakened her to a part of her that she didn't even realize was there.
She was all hazy until he came along and as much as she tried to fight it she found herself living again. With her great loss came great gain.
