Brian Caven's Book is an excellent source of information.

This book gives a very solid account of the punic wars, from beginning to end. I was impressed by the attention to detail. The only flaw lies in the intrinsic difficulty that lies in according the numerous names and places with each other. It is hard to keep up..but that is partially due to history itself. After having read the book, I feel the I am reasonably versed in Punic and Roman history and geography. I recommend this book for any history buff.
