hockey + regency romance = really good!

Tuck just got into a car accident. And somehow he woke up in the year 1812. Good thing Elizabeth was there to help him. With Tuck by her side, this could be the perfect plan to create her perfect widow life. A fake marriage is in order, and Tuck would be happy to help her too. This book was too bizarre not to try. A hockey romance and a regency romance? I already love the complicated-ness of it all! And I'm not going to lie, I do like the sci-fi-ness of it all. For me, it checks out, and I actually figured out how the book might end. Storywise, I really like how Tuck and Lizzie got close. It has a slow burn element to the point that I didn't notice that they started to like each other but so cute nonetheless. I like how they just understand each other, and they compliment each other as well. The other characters are interesting as well. Though we get to meet them, we get to learn about them mostly by word of mouth from the main characters. However, huge props to Georgie and Jane. Overall. good book. Nothing crazy amazing, but this was sweet and thoughtful. * I received an eARC of this book.
