Psychosocial functioning in young children with and without learning disabilities

Psycho-social functioning: Psycho-social functioning refers to the mind's ability to, consciously or unconsciously, adjust and relate the body to its social environment. Psycho-social involves both psychic and social aspects. It is one in psychological development and in interaction with a social environment the child is not necessarily fully aware of the relationship with his or her environment. Psycho-social development is the development of personality, and the acquisition of social attitudes and skills, from the infancy through maturity. The term psycho-social development means the development of the personality, and the acquisition of social skills and attitudes from infancy through the maturity. The term psycho-social was commonly used by the psychologist Erik Erikson in his stages of social development. In contrast with social psychology, it attempts to explain the social patterns of behavior in a general sense, the term psycho-social can be used to describe the unique internal processes that occur within the individual or the children. It has been usually used in the context of psycho-social intervention, which is commonly used with psycho-educational or psychopharmacological interventions and points towards solutions for individual challenges in interacting with the social environment. Problems that occur in one's psycho-social functioning can be referred to as "psycho-social dysfunction" or "Psycho-social morbidity". This refers to the lack of development or atrophy of the psycho-social self, often occurring alongside other dysfunctions that may be physical, emotional or cognitive in nature,
