INTRODUCTION Behavioral science plays a significant role in making human life worth living, happy and flourishing. Psychology took some missions in its establishment as a separate subject. First is to make the lives of all people better and second is fostering genius. Positive psychology can be considered as a relatively new form of psychology. Positive Psychology is that branch of psychology which makes change in the focus of Psychology to build positive qualities. It puts emphasis on the positive influences in a person's life. These may include optimistic emotions, character strengths, and constructive institutions. This current theory is based on the belief that happiness is derived from both emotional and mental factors. Positive psychology aims at helping people to identify happiness from moment to moment. Now more emphasis is on the positive resource we have as human being. By putting emphasis on and making enhancements in these resources or capacities, human beings can excel at any point of time in life and live a happy and healthy life. Even now researchers are focused on looking into human strengths in mental health disorders because these strengths can work as buffers against mental illness. Martin Seligman, the founder of positive psychology defined positive psychology as "Scientific study of optimal human functioning that aims to discover and promote the factors that allow individuals and communities to thrive."
