Deep Thoughts by Lois Williams

This is a book in the Lucado-esque genre, where the author utilizes the simple and oft overlooked gifts of God, perhaps laughter or the rain, to bring her, and us, back to the heart of the Father.Her primary goal seems to be a walk toward intimacy and a real relationship with her Heavenly Father, her secondary goal, to include the reader on that said journey down the Pathway.This is a great book to set upon your nightstand, to nightly read a verse before bed.

This is a great book from a wonderful author. I've enjoyed her writing for years. I gave this book to several family members and friends for holiday gifts. I have emailed Christian friends that live in other parts of the country about this book.

thoughtful poetry for thoughtful christians

this evocative collection of brief poems has found an honored place in my home. Each poem takes the reader from a simple observation -- rain falling on a sidewalk, a flower in a pot, the distant barking of a dog -- and transforms it into a thoughtful morsel of truth for reflection. I greatly enjoy reading a handful of them, or just reading one and pausing to reflect. Each poem can serve as a comfort, a bit of insight, a challenge, or a little holy spirit sting to keep you on the right track. Get this book!

Modern Day Psalms

This book says what is buried deep inside of each believer. The modern day psalms give inspiration to the reader as well as spiritual insight. I plan to use my copy as a daily devotional, reflecting on the writer's anointed teachings. It ranks right up there with the best of them.
