Rex Fleming is the 22-year-old son of Steve Fleming, a late scientist and co-founder of FT industries, a large-scale science institution founded by Steve Fleming and Mark Toney. But after the death of Steve Fleming, Rex's life goes on a downward spiral which coincides with a significant rise in status for Natasha Toney, Rex's childhood best friend and a top scientist at FT industries. But all that will change when he comes across the time console, a device created by Steve and Mark to travel back in time. He accidentally travels from 2027 to 2004, the year he was born.

When he travels to 2004, he meets and befriends Luna Parker, a 12-year-old black girl who finds him and helps him navigate his way across 2004 as well as reuniting with his parents and with the help of his father, he travels back to the present 2027 and promises to find Luna after thinking he saved his parents from dying while in the present, Natasha finds out the secret that the death of Rex's parents was actually set up by her father. The latter wanted to take total control of FT industries after a fallout with Steve.

Unfortunately, this change only makes things worse-his parents are still dead, but now so is Luna. When Rex travels back to fix his mistakes, top scientist, childhood best friend, and secret crush Natasha join him. But they're not alone. Others have discovered the secret to time travel and their goal is to kill Rex before he's even born.

It's a race against time for Rex to not only save his family and friend but also himself. With only one of him and three streams of time, someone will not make it.
