Economic Indicators

This book is about the economy and economic indicators. The author argues that people can predict the direction of the economy, and therefore, profit from it. While economic indicators can tell the story of the state of the economy, I don't think using them as predictors is as easy as the author makes it sound. Years ago, mutual funds and hedge funds invested with long-term visions. Today, the investment world is different because everyone seems to care only about short-term performance. With that being said, this means that the competition among participants trying to outsmart each other and predict the future is intense.
