Professional Asp Techniques for Webmasters

If you are a webmaster or a ASP developer who deals with the whole project, from design to deployment, this is the #1 book I would recommend to you! It helped me a great deal for the work I have done. The book covers all the aspects of the ASP-based packages that webmasters and top ASP team leaders concern about. If you are a new programmer trying to learn ASP syntax, however, it might help more if you read Professional ASP Programmer's Reference, another book in the series, before using this book.

Outstanding! But ensure its focus fills your needs

Prof. ASP for Webmasters is a superbly written and presented book with page after page of excellent advice, tips, and techniques. However, it is NOT a book with which to learn ASP. As the title suggests, it is a book to show the IIS Web administrator how to use ASP to make his/her life easier as well as add some excellent functionality to his/her Web sites. If you are a NT Webmaster this book is for you.

Great supplement book for ASP

I bought this book based on Alex Homer's great job on Professional Active Server Pages. Lots of great examples and tips. While not all the tips are for everyone, there will always be something for your particular situation.

One of my all-time favorites

I think this is a great book...I have read far too many others that are nothing but recycled material, screenshots, and pointing out the obvious. Mr. Homer has done a thorough job of explaining why and how things work, plus he relates it to the real world of business. A fine effort...money well spent.

Great for fill in the holes information on running your Web

I first bought the book 'professional ASP 2.0' which is highly rated, and I agree good. This book, however, fills in things to make it work and manage the site. Security is a big one. How the interface to SQL server, ADO works. Handling browser versions.
