Probabilities in Everyday Life -- McGervey

It is hard to believe that this book was written by a physicist -- it is so easy to understand! The thoroughness with which McGervey manages to cover most every aspect of daily life is impressive. One wonders how he could be so familiar with so much. A pleasant, informative, and easy read that asks no more than an occasional familiarity with simple arithmetic. It will provide the reader with useful tools and perspectives for making choices in daily life.

Practical and easy to read

Professor McGervey manages to present the practical application of probability and statistics to every day circumstances in an easily understandable way.It does take some of the fun out of gambling, but it is also a fun read at times.
