Unprepared to prep anyone

Preceding the book is a letter from The Princeton Review. The letter discusses in a surprisingly familiar tone what to expect and how to extract the most from the book. This letter has grammar mistakes. Most notably, "You going to see a book that is this big, that feels this heavy, and know..." Immediately following this letter are several chapters on proper English from the same staff that signed off on the letter. The familiar tone with which the guide is written quickly fades from unexpected to disconcerting as one begins to consider the lack of seriousness with which the writers and editors took their jobs in constructing this work. The order in which things are explained is also poor and nonsensical. How they allowed 3 chapters to go by, all including exponents before inserting a short blurb on what exponents are is further evidence that care was not taken in the publishing of this book. In short, this review is nothing more than an additional cash grab directed at a captive audience. Another profiteering scheme at the expense of education. It should be avoided by those serious about furthering their education, instead being seen for nothing more than an allegory for the state of for-profit education.
