This moving and beautiful book has been re-printed. YES!!, to celebrate Benedetti`s 80th birthday, all his works have been printed again by Editorial Sudamericana. I hope everyone can get a copy of Primavera con una esquina rota

The best book

Primavera con una esquina rota ist my favorite Benedetti`s book. It is a mixture of feelings. I have been read it four or five ways. Please, I want to have this book. Please, print it again.

Bittersweet, just like the title.

Short scenes portraying the thoughts and hopes of an Uruguayan political prisoner and the people he is close to as he returns to his expatriate family after many years of absence. Bittersweet...and wonderful.

This book is so good you feel sorry when finishing.

Mario Benedetti is for me the best writer in the Spanish Language. This book says in very simple words what everybody feels at any point in life and can not express. You do not have to read it all at once. In fact is nice to come back and read again one chapter or another. Mario Benedetti's style has always been very simple and fullfiling but in this book he's got the best of all. He can make you cry and laugh in just one page.
