A GREAT study resource

I was told that this commentary would expand my understanding of the Bible and it's so true. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to truly study and get the context of the Scripture. The other thing I really liked is that it is written with the African American reader in-mind. The practical stories and the Black Personality Profiles were a pleasant surprise. If you're black and christian... you should have this.

Used it for years!

I have used Precepts as my Bible study book for several years now and am looking forward to this new edition. It really helps me to better understand what I'm reading. The essays and black history essays are great.
