GREAT READING IF YOU'VE JUST WATCHED THE NEWS

This book came out at the end of the last century-- 1999. Contains prayers for the next thousand years from every tradition you can think of-- all the great religions, world cultures, indigenous leaders, writers,contemporary singers. You name it. Special messages from living masters for the next millennium. Great reading, especially if you've just watched the news.

Prayers for Many Ages - For the World, and for Daily Life

I have found this a wonderful collection to use at mealtime with adults in our family, or friends; but I have also found that many of the prayers speak to our teenage son. They are oriented toward hopes for healing in the world, but also contain prayers to sustain us in our daily living as we seek to be of use. I plan to use the book in my Unitarian Universalist ministry this year, both with adults and with young people. Many of the prayers are very moving. Rev. I,m giving this book to everyone on my Christmas list

My dentist had this book in his waiting room. It was September ll, 2001 and when I turned to a page at random it spoke directly to me as nothing else had, especially on that day. I will give this to everyone I know, it is a beautiful and inspiring and profound collection. Wonderful!
