Love will out

Having become familiar with Elaine Fox through her more contemporary novels (dogs), I was curious to see how she handled a historic novel. Her early style is similar to her current style and as usual her characters were very believable. This novel had a very serious theme, unlike her lighter contemporary novels, but it was enjoyable.

I liked it...

Description from back of book: Julian Coletun's wedding day was to be his happiest - but in a shipwreck that claimed his father's life, the handsome aristocrat lost his memory. When he washed ashore, he found himself heir to the house of Northcliffe and betrothed to a beauty he couldn't recall. Intent on reclaiming his past and the home he no longer knew, the determined earl found that every shadow hid a secret and every face a falsehood. But in a governess's sweet kiss he saw the light, and found he had to fight to control his passion for the tempestuous Miss Travers. Then and there he swore to fathom her silence, and know why - in their most ardent embrace - her eyes s passionately cried: Pray Love, Remember * I really enjoyed this book. It was full of mystery that kept me guessing until the end. I had a few unanswered questions but other then that I thought the book was great. I'd recommend it.

This author has quite a gift for writing.

Simply put, this was an excellent novel

The Best Historical Romance Writer Today

Reading Elaine Fox's historical romances is like sitting on a screen porch sipping iced tea on a hot summer's evening -- the time slips away before you realize it. In fact, she is so successful at evoking the past that I sometimes have a moment of feeling disoriented when I put the book down. To me, that's the measure of a truly great author!
