Absolutely brilliant

An avid reader of crime fiction - I thought I had caught up to all the great authors until now. Phil Luber is brilliant. His novel is extremely well written, very interesting and quite heartwarming. I will do my best to get hold of all his other novels.

Another Winner in the Harry Kline Thriller Series

This, the third novel in the Harry Kline / Veronica Pace series is a winner. Fans who enjoyed the first books will not be disappointed.

A book that is hard to put down!!!

I have been reading westerns most of my life and decided to get this book. It has been a long time since I have been able to pick up a book and read it from cover to cover other then my normal author. I have to say that I'm delighted I picked this one up. I'm not much on writing but would like to tell you that this book is tremendous. When I had to put it down I was always wondering what was next and trying to make more time to be able to read it. I have told many friends about this book and hope they will read it. It gets you hooked on the first page. Now I have to get the rest of his books. Hope you have or will enjoy this book as much as I have.

A good woman has been shot to death in her own home, her daughter being the only witness. The nine year old girl used the family gun, stopping the masked intruder from killing her, but the man managed to escape. For the next twenty-five years, this incident has haunted her. Veronica Pace, an FBI agent, takes a month's leave of absence to hunt down the killer who alluded her as a little girl. Veronica's best friend and lover, psychiatrist Dr. Harry Kline prefers for Veronica to not pursue the case, fearing that a failure might push her over the edge. Harry has failed to factor in Veronica's determination or her obtaining a front page headline in the Boston newspaper offering $250,000 for information on her mother's killer. Harry wonders how far Veronica will goin her obsession to bring a killer n to justice. Some books simply try to entertain while other novels try to deliver a moral message. Rarely does a book deliver both as PRAY FOR US SINNERS manages to do. Questions like why does bad things happen to good people are answered through faith without sermonizing. Philip Luber uses examples to allow his audience to reach their own conclusions, even as he reminds the reader that there remains a divine form of justice that follows its own clock. Mr. Luber is a genius who tells a brilliant story that leaves the reader with the gift of hope. Harriet Klausner
