Good resource to have & move at your own pace, I give a 3(C+) because as teachers there should be no

I was enrolled in a program prior to purchasing this book which was to prepare me for the praxis exam 516. That program was horrendous and would have received an F as it had so so many mathematical errors in their own text I could not believe they could steal people's money and even after pointing out their mistakes they neglected even up to 18 months later to make any corrections regardless of admitting the errors to me. This book is written by teachers and has editors and technical review and yet there are also numerous typos. I feel terrible for young people who might not understand the math and question some of these typos in order to look it up, but take the word of the writers, editors, managing editors word they have reviewed everything in detail. I can't believe it when I see things get past numerous steps in the review process along with then being printed and sold for a profit when there are mistakes. To boot, this is the 3rd edition, one would think 3 strikes and your out, any errors should have been noted in the 1st and 2nd edition and then the 3rd run over with a fine toothed comb. I just can't believe this is acceptable. It drove me crazy when teachers for my children would have spelling errors in their own letters, especially when the errors were in the initial introduction of themselves to PARENTS! In this day and age with spell check this is unacceptable. And in this day and age a book sold as a 3rd edition review for a test to teach teachers, should have 0 errors. Buyer beware, just make sure when something seems like it doesn't make sense, look it up (too bad I didn't get a chance to have the reviewers see this same note and be a bit more detail oriented when reviewing so errors could be caught and corrected prior to going to print).
