Good Test Prep

I'd bought and used three books to prepare for the praxis/ppst and this one was the best. The Barron's Praxis Test Prep was also helpful. I was disappointed with the Kaplan test prep--I found mistakes in the answers of the 2004 edition, and I did not agree with their testing strategy suggestions (which were different from the other two books I've mentioned).Perhaps they've improved, but I'd make sure before purchasing a Kaplan. Back to The Cliffs Test Prep--the organization was wonderful; I easily navigated the various sections reviewing and testing in the order I found most helpful. I used the testing strategies it suggested and those helped a great deal. Barron's Test Prep was second best to this one (but I recommend it as well). Because I took the computer version of the test (yesterday) I immediately got the scores for two of the exams--Reading Comprehension and Math--and I found out I did very well. The Cliffs Test Prep helped prepare me to succeed.

Great Prep!

I used this book to prepare for the Ppst one month in advance. I scored above what is required on each section. Mind you, I have been away from college and studying for more than 4 years. This book reviews each section on the Ppst individually. It also contains 3 practice full length exams with detailed explanations, that I found to be very close to the actual exam. I took the computer version of the exam.

Highly Recommended

I was nervous about taking the PRAXIS PPSTs, as my undergraduate college work was over two decades ago. This book provided excellent practice problems and sample test questions. I found that working through the book made the actual exams (paper-based) seem familiar and relatively easy. The concise math section reviews were very useful. The practice questions matched the test surprisingly well.

Best PPST Prep Book

-To the point-Doesn't review unnecessary content like other prep books that I've studied from. -Gets the job done.p.s. -Barron's is terrible; Lots of type-os and incorrect answers. -The one published by Research and Education Association does a through Math review, unfortunately 90% of it isn't covered on the test.

Excellent review guide for Praxis I !!!

I purchased and used this study guide 2 months prior to taking the Praxis I. The format is very helpful; it has diagnostic tests for math, reading and writing, as well as math and grammar reviews and 3 full length practice tests. Following the tests, the guide gives you the answers and provides in-depth explanations about each answer. Math has always been my weakest subject, and despite having graduated from high school 17 years ago and just now going back to college in hopes of entering the teacher education field, this study guide helped me so much that I scored 12 points higher than required for my state on the Math section! I highly recommend using this study guide. Though it is primarily geared for the paper-based exam, I took the computer based exam and found the book to still provide very helpful strategies.
