Great book, really helped

I received this book for Christmas and it has really helped my swing. I've been working on my swing at an indoor driving range ( I figure winter is the time to get ready for the spring) and my distance has improved about 15 yards with my driver. But most importantly I now understand what I should do. Before I had tried everything from driving my hips, legs, etc. even bought new clubs. Now I understand all that I was working on was actually hurting my distance.I highly recommend this book and have given a few copies to my friends. I was going to purchase more only it is soldout at the publisher. Looks like more than just me found this book to be helpful. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++++++++++++++++

A++++++++++++

I have read both Golf is A woman's Game and Power Golf for Women. Although i agree Golf is a Woman's Game is a great book Power Golf For Women wins by a nose. You can't go wrong with either of these books. I just like the emphasis on power and this book has really improve the distance in my game. VERY MUCH RECOMMEND

Great reading

I love the idea of the power assembly. On my practice swings, at the top of my backswing I do what I call assembly checks and it's really helped my game. Definitely one of the best instruction books out there. The stigma of being a woman's instruction book may be a deterrent, however this book stacks up and surpasses any book written by Leadbetter, Hogan and the rest. Give this book a try and focus on your power assembly and I bet you'll see a big improvement in your distance..I did!

Excellent book

I stumbled across this book by accident. As a male golfer I was looking for a traditional book on power. Someone had recommended this book in another review and I thought what the heck I'll give it a try.This is perhaps the finest instruction book I have read. The author uses terminology I have not heard before such as "plane shifters" "The power assembly" etc. yet makes the book both easy and enjoyable. Understanding what the author calls the "power assembly" and implementing it my swing has made all the difference. For all these years I have had the wrong concept of the power source in the golf swing.If you are trying to add distance to your game or even for a general understanding of the golf swing this is your book....believe me its worth every penny.

5 star book....however

I believe I have read almost every golf book published. The theory and terminology of this book is both new and exciting. However, I do not understand the author's insistence on directing her book's toward women.Although "Power Golf for women" does address the anatomical differences that will affect a woman's swing, I believe the title of the book should have been "Power Golf". This book would benefit any male player and by directing it toward women the author has lost a good male audience.Ms. Horn is without a doubt the first lady of golf instruction. However if she wants to become golf's next guru she's going to have to bridge the gender gap.
