I am so appreciative to have found this book! I doubt the information contained in it will often be presented at a university, though it is very well organized and deserves to be. It is also a great book for Christians to equip themselves for intellectual discussions, whether you are an economist or someone who is not that familiar with the discipline. Nash gives both sides of the argument (capitalism/socialism), supported by historical real-world examples. He also provides great insight into the validity of the ideologies that dominate our times. Consider the following quote where Nash cites Humberto Belli: "Christians need to learn that there may be liberation theologies 'which are not liberating at all. The case of Nicaragua shows that what has been advanced by many revolutionary Christians as the most advanced form of liberation theology has been nothing else than a justification for Marxism-Leninism clothed in a religious garment--a revolution that is not for Christ, nor even for the poor but for communism...in the name of Christ..'" (107). I would say that if you are a Christian, it is your duty to study this stuff, and this book will definitely be a great start! God bless you! 1 Peter 3:14-16
