The papaya crop has good characteristics, as it is harvested early and continuously, as well as being economically viable with a faster return on invested capital than many other fruit crops. However, one factor that deserves to be highlighted when it comes to obtaining satisfactory yields from papaya is the chemical fertility of the soil. There is still a lack of studies in this area, as there is little information on fertilizer management, aimed not only at increasing production, but also at improving the quality of the physical and chemical characteristics of papaya fruit. In view of this, the aim of this work was to carry out a study to evaluate the effect of potassium fertilization levels, applied via fertigation, on the development, productivity and fruit quality of the Formosa papaya tree, Cv. 'Tainung N . 1'.
