Pungent, witty, clever, curious, and intelligent-that's our girl! In an age whose political correctness has managed to turn social commentary into vanilla pudding, Liz Langley's eye-opening directness is as bracing and direct as... oh, as getting happily hit in the face with a bucketful of icy water. She is wry, incisive, and fall-off-the-barstool funny, not to mention possessing that most classic of writing tools: the iron hand concealed within the velvet glove. Having set Florida aflame with her observations, Liz is poised to take on the world... look out!
howling histrionics

Once again, this woman is pure genius her observations stumble drunk in a field and then collapse on the ultimate truth, with a little sugar. She has been blazing trails on a dog box in Florida and it's about time the rest of the world caught up with her.I'd gladly put in a quarter and play "Freebird" for the lonely vampire at the bar if it means getting closer to her reality.
A Totally Delightful Read

What a seductive blend of wit and cynicism! By the end of the book I wanted to sublet space in this terminally-hip gal's reality. If you like insightful and jaded authors like P.J. O'Rourke, you'll fall in love with Liz Langley. I did.
Hilarious and fresh essays - New American wit!

With POP TART, a star is born. Liz Langley is an American original and a real sassy broad -- remember when we had some of THOSE around? We here in Florida have been enjoying Liz's on-the-money essays and high-brow-low-culture observations for some years, courtesy our local alternative weekly. Now it's time for her to go national ... and as one of her fans I can honestly say it's about damn time. This is one of the rare humour books that will get read more than once. Liz Langley says what we all were thinking -- if we were far more clever and slightly intoxicated, that is.As Webb Wilder would say, "Pick up on it."
