In the seventh book featuring Poppleton the pig, Poppleton goes to a movie alone, makes a quilt with his friends, and ends up eating a banana split instead of taking a bath. Simultaneous. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Does anyone know why this book is out of print while all of the other Poppleton titles are still available? These Poppleton books are all wonderful early readers - they are entertaining yet don't talk down to kids. They are about the same reading level (end of first grade) as the Henry and Mudge books and the Mr. Putter and Tabby books, all of which are written by Cynthia Rylant. These three series are unbeatable for kids who are just becoming independent readers.
Sweet and entertaining

My 4-year-old daughter loves this book. It has three stories, each on a different topic. She insists we read all three each time, and they are not long so it's OK. The language rolls off the tongue and is fun to read aloud. Pictures are cute, and characters whimsical and sweet. She also is learning about the concept of a Table of Contents because the three stories are listed there.
