This is a must-read - powerful and compelling

If you ever meet Mildred Holmes, you will see an elegant, well-spoken, graceful woman with an easy smile. You would never guess that she literally arose from ashes, like the phoenix, to become a successful, healthy adult. The story she tells is shot through with heartache and suffering, and as you read it, you will become incensed that any child was made to live through such circumstances. I HAVE met Mildred Holmes, and I could see her face and hear her voice as I read her words.
