Wonderful insight to modern times shame

What can I say, Politically correct purveyors will not like this tome (can't say the "H" word someone might take offense!) of retold classic fairy tales of old. a poke in the eye to thinned skinned soles (nut jobs) who fail to understand life is hard, unfair history and facts and fiction is not for them to change. I have had all eight of my kids read this book, they all like it much, it's simply funny, and stands it's ground against shouting sensitive social revisionist everywhere! HA HA HA HA HA

truly funny

Garner takes some of the most beloved childrens stories and turns them into the most perfect polically correct stories possible by removing any possibly offensive thoughts. In doing so, he has turned the idea of political correctness on its ear. By making the story as politically correct as possible, Garner has shown how stupid political correctness truly is. This book is not for the pollitically correct, but for those who want to needle them. Garner used different spellings of women to wommon so there wouldn't be a reference to men with women. He even apologizes in his introduction for not being politically correct enough. This is truly funny and the politically correct will miss the forest for the trees. Highley reccomended.

PLEASE re-print this.

This is a great series of stories. I bought these for my first daughter when she was still in the womb. We reaad them to her all the time before and after her birth. Now I want them for my niece and nephew. They are more for the adult than the child, but when they are a year and under you'll both love them.

The most humorous book I've ever read

This book is a breath of fresh air for me. I've yet to complete it, but thus far it has provided innumerable laughs. I have, in fact, several persons waiting "in line" to read this after I am finished. These are the stories of our childhood, but with a modern twist, if you will. If you are an ultraconservative, though, this is not a piece you are likely to enjoy.

Funny! funny! funny!

This book is hilarous! I loved it, it was awsome! Anyone that enjoys silly and sarcastic humor who isn't so 'uptight' about things should read this one.

The Best since the brothers Grimm

Loved it and hope there's more comin
