Excellent photos and an environmental perspective

This non-fiction book is a big hit with my toddlers. The pictures are eye-catching, the text is descriptive of the habitat and lives of the bears, and, although my husband found the text a bit harsh on the human impact on these animals, the commentary describes the environmental issues. In addition, the hardcover library edition is very sturdy, even for 2 year olds.
