Insightful book with pictures and card rankings

This big book of Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is a nice gift for Yu-Gi-Oh! fans of all ages. It shows pictures of the cards, ranks the cards, and gives tips. It lists the cards based on the set in which each card is available, so most cards are listed multiple times. Also there are different reviewers so the ranking for a particular card is not always consistent. A great feature in this book is the section on staple cards (cards that fit well in all decks). My son has another book that also lists the staple cards, but this book does it better. It lists many cards, tells why they are staples, and also lists some "almost" staples. I can't give this book 5 stars because there are some small errors in the book (i.e. words omitted, pictures not in the right place, etc.) Also you cannot quickly find information about specific cards. Some "nice to have" features for future releases of this book would be an index that listed the cards and their corresponding pages and a table that listed specific objectives and ranked the available cards for accomplishing those objectives. These features would be especially useful since the card ranking (1 - 5 stars) provided in the book is based somewhat on the availability of other cards that do a particular job better. For example, Omnious Fortuntelling receives a low ranking because Forceful Sentry and Confiscation do a better job at providing the noted benefit. This book provides great insight. However, if you are new to the game and are looking for information about how to play the game you will need to find a supplement for this book. I purchased this book for my 5 year old son who plays the game based on the official rules that were provided in his starter deck. We were hoping for a book that answered some of our outstanding questions about game play. While this book is great and we are very happy with it, we still need to purchase another book to complement this nice book.

THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!

hi i am a Yu-Gi-Oh! freak and absolutely LOVE the game! and i was anticipating the release of this book, i own all of their yugioh! books written by them! This by far is the best one yet, i say buy it just for the staples and killer decks report section, but THEN they have all the reviews of EVERY card in the game up until pgd, and tp1 2 and 3!!! well i say this is money well spent, you wont want to put it down!

Episode Summaries FOR EVERYTHING!

Pojo does it again with another steller publication. From their past publications and magazines, it's clear that if it's popular, Pojo will be writing about it. The contributors to this book, aside from Pojo himself, are the people you're used to seeing on the Pojo Yu-Gi-Oh website weekly. They know the YuGi Collectable Card Game inside and out.Ever watch the Yu-Gi-Oh cartoons/anime? This book explains every episode up until the recently release ones in great detail.Clearly if you or your loved ones are into the Yu-Gi-Oh craze, this is something you NEED to have on your book shelf.

Wow! 256 Awesome Pages!

Another Awesome Book from Pojo! This is basically a Yu-Gi-Oh Bible to be honest. Pojo's writers review every single card in the game (through PGD). There's full color images of every card, reviews of every card, and every card is assigned a rating from 1 to 5 stars. Even League Card & Promo cards are displayed & rated. The writers also discuss history, Killer Decks, New Sets, & Staples. They also write about the Lost Episodes. I guess there was a Series of YuGiOh before the ones we see in the U.S., and they tell you what you missed.Another 2 Big Thumbs Up. The Pojo.com guys know how to make a fun book to read.
