Buy for yourself and as a gift for someone else. If you enjoy the Yolanda Adams Morning Show, you will definitely enjoy this book. I plan to read again and take notes. For those who enjoy applying God's principles to their life. The book is written in a format that is easy to follow. God bless Yolanda for taking the time to create this book.

Uplifting, positive and a testament to faith

Believe it or not, I have never heard of Yolanda Adams until I was recently given a chance to read Points of Power for review. I am very sorry I haven't experienced her before now. I understand her music is beautiful and her radio show is uplifting. She herself seems very uplifting in Points of Power. I have read through a lot of the sections and they read as short Bible readings/devotions for each full of her points of power about the specific topic. She gives points to think about and journal about if you desire to do that. But most of all her hope and belief in God shine through in each little lesson. I feel her positive vibe throughout this book and how she credits herself and her life to God. It is beautiful and uplifting to read. I look forward to continuing reading the sections and revisiting them later today when I need a pick-me-up. Full of great lessons and thoughts, Points of Power is a wonderful book to read and enjoy.

Reading At The Beach: Reviews

There are ten chapters. Each have sections in them that Yolanda calls Power Points. At the end of each one there are mini sections called Power Passage, Point of Practice, Point of Prayer, 10 Pensive Points and another Power Passage. She takes stories from others as well as her own life, and the Bible as examples of the relationship we can have with God and each other, and I enjoyed learning more about this woman who until now I knew only as a Gospel singer with a beautiful voice. I now see her as a much more. This is a wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone who has a hurdle to overcome and/or wants a more joyful and peaceful life, and wants a closer walk with God.

Powerful Book

Radio personality Yolanda Adams did a wonderful job in her first book. Points of Power is just what it appears to be...powerful! She reaches out to the very heart and soul of women and encourages them to pursue a closer walk with God. One of the best parts of this book are the stories of everyday people and how they learned to overcome obstacles and gain peace and joy in their lives. It was inspirational.

Power of Faith

Yolanda Adams' Points of Power is one of the best faith-based books I have ever read. Ms. Adams is known internationally for her awesome singing voice. However, it is obvious from the spirit-filled pages of Points of Power she has a wide-range spiritual calling. Points of Power is based on her radio show of the same name and covers the spiritual struggles all believers have. The book is broken into several chapters and is further divided into sub-chapters. Each is filled with easy-to-read and easy-to- understand messages of faith and joy from the author's own experiences. The chapters all end with a Point of Prayer, 10 Pensive Points and a Power Passage. The messages were very encouraging and I read through the book as though it were a novel. I recommend Points of Power to all who are on a spiritual journey and those who are struggling with their faith. Ms. Adams will reach the reader with her words in the same way she has with her music.
