Awesome, practical, inspiring

All my Christian life, I have struggled with my walk - I would go to church, I would participate in bible study, I even worked with youth groups. And yet I still never really had a grasp on what it really meant, in a day-to-day, minute-to-minute way, to live a life that truly pleases God. I still struggled with the gray areas of whether certain things were "right" or "wrong." I lacked the intimacy with God that Kay Smith clearly portrays in this book. This book has been life-changing for me. Kay has helped me see the life God truly desires from me and for me; that the question isn't "right or wrong," but "is this pleasing to God?" I'm going through some things in my life right now that, not having the new perspective I have after reading this book, I would surely be responding to in a much different, more destructive way...but because of the very practical, scripture-based guidance Kay provides, I'm responding from a whole new place - and finding joy where previously I would have found only pain and sorrow. I cannot speak highly enough about this book!!!
I got this for my mom and she loved it!

My mom told me that this book was really really good. I gave it to her as a gift for Christmas this past year with the journal and she loved them. She told me to read it, but it's for girls. Everyone that I know that have read this book loved it, and then got it for someone else they knew.
The Quiet Woman

Kay Smith is the quiet and gentle woman described in Proverbs 31. As the wife of Calvary Chapel founding pastor, Chuck Smith, Kay is one who has paid the price for the sake of the gospel. No wonder the Lord uses her to teach women how to live the life--the life that pleases God.

I can't tell you enough what a blessing this book has been! I have honestly read this book five times so far, and I have given 6 to friends and family. Kay Smith openly shares her experiences in her years of walking with the Lord. There are many funny stories about things she has been through--but most importantly, there are practical applications you can add to your own life to draw near to God. I feel as though my faith has reached a new level now that I understand what it is to live my life to please God. Thank you Kay!!
